Oil and Gas Project Manager

Accountabilities – Job Specific

· Ensure Safety in Design principles are incorporated in all areas of design.

· Attend and engage in design meetings as requested.

· Participate in the review/checking of design drawings.

· Ensure drawings adhere to relevant Project standards, Company standards and relevant codes of practise.

· Be proactive in exploring new procedures within contractors to achieve time and cost saving and delivering a value to clients.

· Work in conjunction with all entities in the development of project budget and schedules for contractor's works.

· Report/communicate with all stakeholders regarding progress, potential risks to schedules or budgets.

· Ensure project time and cost KPI's are met - monitor effectiveness of designs, scheduling of work, resource requirements.

· Manage co-ordination and allocation of organization activities on the project.

· Coordinate design interfaces as required.

· Provide a link between the design team and the office located in Bangalore

· Provide responses to technical queries from contractors and other project staff in a timely manner.

· Identify, investigate, record, monitor and report on actions, resolution and costs of identified contractor NCRs (HEAT).

· Comply with the change management process for engineering design drawings.

· Provide expediting expertise and fabrication inspections as required.

· Reporting of contractors progress to Project Team.

Quality Management

· Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the Quality management process.

· Understand standard specifications and typical/standard drawings to reflect current industry standards.

· Demonstrate an understanding of correct QA procedures for design contractors, steel fabrication and erection contractors.

Qualifications:

· Associate Diploma in Engineering / Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

· 10+ years' experience in design/consultancy/operational environment.

Desired skills, knowledge and experience:

· Minerals/O&G/Chemical processing experience.

· Skills in MS Office suite, MS Project.

· Overseas project experienced.

· Contract Management experience.
